Humidity Blues
Humidity can affect the design, texture and life of your contemporary rug or bespoke carpet. To prevent humidity from damaging your handcrafted carpet or textured carpet, we suggest keeping the fan or air conditioning on to improve airflow. If the humidity level gets too high, you can purchase a dehumidifier to regulate the moisture levels.
If this isn’t already a policy in your home, we suggest you politely requesting your guests to remove their shoes before stepping into your home. This way, you can avoid the dust particles, dirt, and moisture from damaging your living room rugs, floor carpets or modern rugs.
If you’re planning on hosting a small group of people in your home or hotel, ensuring your hotel carpet or carpet flooring stays clean can be tricky; especially if you have a balcony or outdoor area as well. In this case, we suggest putting down runners, mats or thinner rugs to avoid any outside dirt from coming in contact with your grand carpets, home furniture or traditional carpets. It is also essential that you have a doormat where people can wipe the dirt off their shoes before entering.

To help absorb odours, you can sprinkle some baking soda on the carpet before cleaning. Vacuum at least once a week and more often if you’ve entertained recently.
